PURCHASING & REGULATIONS

Massachusetts law requires a minimum of a valid Massachusetts Firearms Identification (FID) card or a Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) for the purchase or possession of: black powder, smokeless powder, ammunition, ammunition components, non-large capacity magazines, and non-large capacity shotguns and rifles.

Massachusetts law requires a valid Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) Class A for the purchase or possession of: large capacity magazines, handguns, and large capacity rifles and shotguns.

Please note that we cannot allow any customer to handle or purchase any items that they do not possess the appropriate license to purchase.

RETURN, REFUND, & CANCELLATION POLICIES

All gun & ammunition sales are final. No returns or exchanges on gun or ammunition purchases.

All special orders must be paid in full before ordering and are considered final. No returns or exchanges on special orders.

All eligible merchandise returns will be refunded as store credit only. Items must be complete and in like-new condition, in original packaging and include original sales receipt. Eligible merchandise returns will be accepted within 30 days of the original purchase date listed on the receipt.

Canceled orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee on the full receipt total. Upon customer request, any remaining down payment will be refunded in the same payment type as follows; cash or personal check payments will be refunded via company check, and credit card payments must be refunded to the card originally used for the purchase.

A $50 fee may be applied to any denied or canceled background check.

A $25 fee will be applied for all returned personal check payments.

CLASS POLICIES

Students enrolling in any classes must be at least 18 years old, or 15-17 years old with parental permission.

Class enrollments may be rescheduled, or canceled and refunded at least 48 hours prior to the class date, in the same original payment type as follows; cash or personal check payments will be refunded via company check, and credit card payments must be refunded to the card originally used for the payment.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the class date will not be eligible for a reschedule or refund. Pioneer Valley Arms reserves the right to refuse to reschedule a class for any student that has already rescheduled said class twice or more.

LAYAWAYS

Pioneer Valley Arms offers a 30-day layaway policy on all in-stock guns. Layaways require a 25% downpayment, and must be paid in full within 30 days; any layaway that is in arrears past the 30-day layaway period will be subject to cancellation with a 20% restocking fee.

Layaways will lock in the current price and any promotions offered at the time the layaway is created; price adjustments and new promotions cannot be applied to existing layaways.

Canceled layaways are subject to a 20% restocking fee on the full receipt total. Upon customer request, any remaining down payment will be refunded in the same payment type as follows; cash or personal check payments will be refunded via company check, and credit card payments must be refunded to the card originally used for the purchase.

Pioneer Valley Arms reserves the right to refuse any layaway.

DISCOUNTS & PRICE MATCHING

Sales & Promotions: Any sales or promotions cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, or price matches. In the event that an order that contains promotional items is canceled, the promotional items must be returned or the customer will be charged the full pre-discounted price as a fee. Items must be complete and in like-new condition, in original packaging and include original sales receipt. Any promotional ammunition is ineligible for return, and the customer will be charged the full pre-discounted price as a fee.

Price Matching: Pioneer Valley Arms will price match competitors whenever possible. A published price for the exact same item must be provided for any price match to be considered.

LE/ MIL Discount: Upon request, Pioneer Valley Arms offers a 5% discount on ammunition, optics and accessories to any active-duty or retired US law enforcement, US military, or US first responder customers, as well as to US military veterans. This discount may be applied to all new, in-stock ammunition, optics or accessories (such as cleaning kits, holsters, eye and ear protection, etc.) This discount cannot be applied towards guns, or any special orders. This cannot be applied to any items on sale or clearance, and cannot be combined with any other discounts. Proper documentation is required; acceptable forms are a current and valid photo LE/MIL/Veteran/First Responder ID, DD 214, or Veteran notation on a driver’s license.

GUNSMITHING SERVICES

Any firearms that are left in possession of Pioneer Valley Arms for any services, must be picked up by the same individual that dropped off the firearm. Gunsmithing work orders are performed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse any work that we believe may be unsafe or illegal.

Completed work orders must be picked up within fourteen (14) days of completion, or they will be subject to storage charges of $15 per item, per month. Any items held in storage in excess of six (6) months and in arrears of storage and/or repair fees for more than ninety (90) days will be considered abandoned property and ownership will pass to Pioneer Valley Arms.

TRANSFERS & STORAGE, ABANDONED PROPERTY

Details on firearm transfers can be found at https://pioneervalleyarms.com/transfers/. Any transfer items that have not been picked up by the transferee within fourteen (14) days of receipt are subject to storage charges of $15 per gun, per month. Parcels of ammunition, accessories, etc. are also subject to a $15 per item, per month fee.

Any items held in storage in excess of six (6) months and in arrears of storage fees for more than ninety (90) days will be considered abandoned property and ownership will pass to Pioneer Valley Arms.
